Kendrick Andre Neely Sr.

Kendrick “Ken” Neely Sr. was born on December 15, 1973, to the union of James Frazer Neely and Alberta Need (who he deeply adored). He departed his earthly life on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Ken grew up in Charlotte NC, alongside his siblings, Janie Neely, Carolyn (Pat) Neely, Monty Neely, and Marcia Clyburn (Tee). Ken received his formal education at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC. on July 17, 2020. Kendrick married his soulmate & better half Carol Perry. Together for over 20 years, Ken loved and cherished his wife. In that union they had one son together. Kenan Perry Kendrick was employed by B&N Grading for over 10 years. He had a passion for Asphalt and took his position in the company seriously. He was usually the first one there and the last to leave. He was proud of the work he did, along with his crew, “the guys” as he called them. Ken made some special connection through the company; they weren’t just his coworkers, but they were like his family. Ken accepted Christ as his savior. He always was said God had his back. Kendrick touched so many people on a personal and professional level, he never met a stranger, everywhere he went he was loved and appreciated. To know Ken was to love him. He had a big heart to go with his big smile, his past wasn’t perfect, but he worked hard to make sure his present was. Ken made changes for the better. Ken had BIG goals and BIG dreams that he was working on. In his leisure time Ken enjoyed spending time with his wife at home, going on date nights or just driving to the beach, RC cars, working on his vehicles, and fishing. Ken had a passion for motorcycles which he picked up from his dad and brother. He loved the freedom that riding brought him. His favorite song to ride off to was: “Too Long” by King George” A song that he dedicated to his wife. Ken was preceded in death by his father James “Killer” Frazer Neely and his brother James “Red Dog” Neely Ken leaves to cherish his memories with his wife: Carol Neely, four sons; Kenan Perry, Keon Neely, Kenneth Neely, Jacobe, Kendrick Neely Jr, four daughters; Ashley Neely, Jazmine Matthews Dezare’i Graham, Kendra Neely, Kathryn Jacobs and his stepchildren (who he never refer to as his step children) Shaquanda Perry, DaQuante Perry (Zharyia), Desmond Perry & Ashanti Perry, step grandchildren; Winston Jr, Chaz (his little buddy, as he called him), Josiah (JoJo). Ken leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and B&N Grading family and friends.
