Miriam Black-Diggs

March 9, 1960 - December 5, 2020

Miriam Denise Black-Diggs “Chubby” the lovely daughter of Mamie Louis Black and William Robinson “Jug” was born on March 09, 1960 in Charlotte, NC God called Chubby home to be with the lord on December 05, 2020. Chubby graduated from Independence High School in Charlotte, NC in 1978. She was a letter girl at McClintock Junior High and a cheerleader at Independence High School “The Big I” she was full of life, a loving person who enjoyed listening to music, her favorite gospel song was “No Weapon formed Against Me” by Fred Hammond, she loved dancing, cooking and watching westerns. She was family oriented and loved to spend time with her family. She got a kick out of making people laugh and joking around. She was manager at Samaritan First. She was preceded in death by her mother Mamie Louis Black, her two brother’s Emmanuel and Antonio Black. Uncle Charles Black; Four Aunt’s Miriam McLean; Evelyn Springs, Estelle Black, and Sally Murchinson, Seven cousins Carl Black, Ernest Pickney ,Samuel Black, Sally Mcllwain; Freddie Roseboro, and Carolyn Springs She leaves to cherish her warm loving memories, Husband Kelvin Diggs; Father Willliam Robinson “Jug” (Ann); Two sisters Evelyn B Harden (Roosevelt) and Latia Robinson; three brothers Horace Black “Rico”; Zachary Black “Scottie”; and Willilam Robinson Jr. one son Roderick Javier Black Sr, step-daughter Zyvon Benjamin; eight grandchildren Roderick Black Jr; Manqueil Williamson; Dashawn Moses; Imani Williamson; Jaquise Black; Tyquise Black; Ta’kya Benjamin and Sanchez Horton Jr.; two great-grand daughters Alana Black and Paisley Black; her guardian Jessie Wafford ; God sister Carolyn Wafford and two God brothers Ronald Wafford and Milton Wafford. Special cousins Sharon Broom (Keith); Eric Black (Zeralda); Tommy Roseboro; Frederick Roseboro and Ernestine Collins (Gregory); Special niece Jameriam Black; Special friend Kay Pequese ; A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
