Torree Travar Fair

Torree T. Fair was born on April 21, 1992 in Joliet, Illinois. Reflecting on Torree's life is an intricate journey through words that emphasizes his creativity, exceptional intelligence, generosity, thoughtfulness, and mastery in debate. From the tender age of four, Torree exhibited a unique brilliance that stood out. As parents, we recognized his special gifts early on—reading chapter books and expressing a profound love for the Bible. At age five, Torree's Christmas wish was a new Bible and a globe to explore countries worldwide. His brilliance and love for debate led us to envision a future as a defense attorney; he could argue anyone into submission, often leaving us amused, raising the white flag in surrender. After he gathered all of his evidence you would often hear someone say, “Ok, Ok, you win!” While gifted in the art of debate, Torree's true passion lay in his creative side. Discovering his love for music in elementary school, he later pursued a major in Music Industry & Technology. A lifelong learner, Torree graduated from Rock Hill High School and chose South Carolina State University to deepen his understanding of the music industry. His educational journey continued with an Associate's Degree from Lake Land College with an educational accolade of Summa Cum Laude. In recent years, Torree tirelessly built his entertainment company, managing and producing talented artists. In 2020, he found his purpose partner in Erica Hairston. Their union brought him not only love but also four beautiful bonus children who he adored —Narrie Hairston, Kahlee Hairston, Josiah Hairston, and Shamir Majied. Torree is survived by his parents, Tana C. Gilmore and Exter Gilmore III, (biological father Tarleatus Fair) and his six siblings: Candyce Gilmore, Tarrence Dent (Corinna DeWitt), Exter Gilmore IV (Aishling Gilmore), Quiera Gilmore, Jonathan Fair, and Terico Spencer. He cherished his nephew Dominic Kaftanci and niece Mia Dent dearly. His heart held a special place for his Grandmother, his “Granny”, Geneva Passley and Godmother “Aunt Dean” Geraldine Milam of Joliet, Illinois. He was also loved by his Bonus Grandmother “Nana” Olivia Gilmore of Durham, NC and Bonus Grandfather “PaPa” Sam Gibson of Marion, AR. Torree is preceded in death by his grandfather Garry Simpson, grandmother Evangelist Barbara McAfee and bonus grandfather Exter Gilmore, Jr. and he leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
