Timothy Louis Baker

Timothy Louis Baker (Tim) was born in Charlotte, NC on February 22, 1964, to Joe Baker and the late Birdie Johnson-Baker. He entered his eternal rest on June 26, 2024. Tim received his high school diploma in 1982 at Olympic High School in Charlotte, NC. Tim's apprenticeship in brick masonry started at the age of 15 with his father Joe Baker and Grandfather Leonard Robinson. Tim began working full-time as a brick mason after graduating high school. In 1995, Tim started his own brick masonry company Baker’s Masonry Custom Brickwork. Tim met the love of his life Renee Strouse and the two joined in Holy Matrimony on July 18, 1986. Together they built a beautiful life, he truly loved his wife. When you saw Tim, you saw Renee. Tim’s transition comes as a devastating shock to family, friends, bike clubs and communities across the nation. His absence will be felt throughout for years to come but we all have those cherished memories to carry us through. Tim was a great mentor to many children, women and men. Tim would open his door to help anyone regardless of their need. Tim never sugarcoated anything; he was always a STRAIGHT SHOOTER who had your best interest at heart. In 1999 Tim founded The Boss Rider Motorcycle Club in Charlotte, NC. Tim loved street and drag racing, because of his stature he was underestimated and won most of those races. In 2018, Tim moved from street and drag racing to riding a Polaris Slingshot. In 2024, Tim became a member of Carolina Elite Riderz Charlotte chapter and was quickly appointed as Sargeant of Arms. Left to cherish these and other memories are his loving and devoted wife: Renee Baker of 38 years, his loving mother-in-law, Linda S. Patterson, sister-in-law, Romelia Panton (Libby) of Charlotte NC; aunts, Diane Davidson of Charlotte, NC; Martha Houser of Monroe , NC, uncles, Mickey Funderburg of Monroe NC; Freddie Funderburg of Waxhaw NC; stepmother, two stepsisters and host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, best friend, Charlotte Elite Riderz, impacted children, Nigel Johnson, Kareem Sanders, Timothy Cummingham, Ynesha Mosley, Elisa Edmunds, Michael Wallace and many others.
