Patricia Ann Howard

Patricia Ann Howard was born on April 22, 1957, in York County to Mr. and Mrs. Malachi and Clara Jackson Hinton. She departed this life on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her home in Rock Hill, SC. She attended York County schools all her life and attended York Technical College also located in Rock Hill, SC where she obtained her associate degree. Patricia accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful and dedicated member of New Covenant Bibleway Church for over 25 years. During this time, she served on the Deaconess Board, Usher Board, she was a leader in the Greeter and Youth ministries, a treasurer, she was part of Willing Workers, the Christian Women of Excellence (Women Christian Society) and Pastor’s Aide. She was also a valued employee of Walgreens where she worked for 25 years. Patricia is preceded in death by loving family members who were waiting for her with open arms, her husband; Shelton Howard, daughter; Penny Perrin, mother; Clara Jackson-Hinton, father; Malachi Hinton, brothers; Jessie James, Joe, Johnny, Charlie, Nathaniel, Roosevelt and Clem, sisters; Hattie Mae, Celia and Ann, Patricia is survived by her two daughters: Dominque Hinton, Sissy (Shomari) Sackiel, both of Rock Hill, SC; four stepdaughters; Camillia (Todd) Withers, Cameeka Howard, Catrina Cason, all of Charlotte, NC, and Konica Sherrill of Cornelius, NC, stepson; Cedric Howard of Charlotte, NC; Son-in-law; George Perrin IV of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by her brothers; Willie Hinton, Robert Hinton, Thomas Hinton, Terry (Lecia) Hinton, Donald Hinton, Hiawatha (Teresa) Clifton and sisters; Doris (Walker) Davis, Carrie Hinton-Howard, Bessie Mae (Tommy) Dixon, Von Wise. Patricia also cared for and raised her nephew, Mark Hinton. She had nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Patricia loved her family and being of service to others. She had the most awesome laugh and smile, she could make anyone feel right at home with her amazing personality, but she had a way of always keeping it real with you. She never met a stranger and was a light that shined so bright in the lives of so many. She loved EVERYBODY.
