James Herron Jr.

James Herron Jr, 71 born to the late James Herron and Annie Mae Herron in charlotte' NC on July 20, 1951 departed his earthly life on February 13, 2023. James Herron Jr who was affectionately known as Jr. graduated from Olympic High School and attended Central Piedmont Community College. While interested in sports, his sporadic delight was playing golf from time to time and hanging out with the fellas in Clanton Park (his home-away-from home). Jr. worked in the janitorial field and was employed by Moss Supply Company where he was well received until his hearth caused him to retire. His co-workers enjoyed his jovial spirit, his cleanliness, his attention to detail and his willingness to get the job done with a smile, all while cracking a joke. All that knew Jr was mesmerized by his quick wit, keen sense of style, fresh look and a crease in his clothes so sharp it could cut to the touch! His swagger so tight, President Obama had nothing on him. Jr. was the 'King of Swagger" . Jr. loved his younger brother (George Herron) and George loved him as well' Spending time with each other discussing, gardening, golf and most importantly commenting about the outfit they were wearing namely (Polo). Jr. loved his family, his dog chip and most importantly he loved his wife' Gloria. Gloria loved Jr. unconditionally. Through the ups and down, trials and triumphs with or without, she was dug-in and brought a sense of stability to his life. Jr relationship and special love for his daughters Quasha, Shana and his grandchildren were very obvious and undeniable and that's a FACT! His favorable relationship with his niece Jackie Wilburn McClinton is unquestionable and will always be an unmeasured treasure they both shared'. Jr. was preceded in death by one sister Annie Lee Chesson and one brother Sylvester Wilburn. Jr. is survived by his wife: Gloria Garland Herron, one brother; George Herron (Edith), two brothers-in-law’s, Willie Garland and Calvin Garland, two daughters; LaQuasha Feaster, Shana Felder' three sons, Antonio Garland (Regina), Donavon Garland (Carmen), Fredrick Garland, Ron Garland, four granddaughters; Janae Weathers, Harmonie Lindsay, Taziya McCoy, Lyric Garland, three grandsons; Alameen Feaster, Quentin Gabriel, Donavon Garland, two special cousins; Lillian Clyburn Grier and John Clyburn, four special nieces; Jackie McClinton (Reginald) Geordian Herron, Geordea Herron, Alethia “Renee" Moser. A special nephew; Rico Moser and very dear and dedicated sister-in-law, Edith Herron and a host of other relatives and friends.
