Henry James Morrison

Mr. Henry James Morrison III, 36, of Charlotte, NC was born April 15, 1988, in Charlotte, NC to Tammy Bigby Watson and the late Henry James Morrison. After losing his father at an early age, he was reared in the home by his mother and loving second father Jackie Watson. He was called home to be with the Lord and Savior on October 19, 2024. He passed peacefully at home from a Pulmonary Thromboemboli (numerous blood clots). Henry received his formal education at Crossroads Charter High School and Central Piedmont Community College. Henry worked for Mecklenburg County Sanitation Services and more recently for FedEx Ground Shipping on Statesville Rd. He became a member of Word of Faith West at an early age where he gave his life to Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Samuel Guthrie. He also sung on the Youth Choir and served on the Youth Usher Board. As an adult he briefly attended Abiding Under the Shadow of God under the leadership of Overseer Cassandra Gaither. Henry was an avid skateboarder and enjoyed spending his time skateboarding at various skate parks around Charlotte. Henry taught his favorite cousin Amara Kamanda how to skateboard and enjoyed teaching the neighbor children how to skateboard as well. In addition to skateboarding, he also loved to spend time with his son Christian and family. He is preceded in death by his father Mr. Henry James Morrison. Paternal grandparents Henry and Hattie Parks. Maternal grandparents Willie and Mattie Bigby. One aunt Frances Kemp who spoiled him and whom he loved called Pancy. Two uncles Larry Bigby and Mark Bigby who also helped guide him during his teenage years. Remaining to cherish his memories one son Christian Edward Morrison Moore of Charlotte NC; His mother Tammy Bigby Waton and bonus father Jackie Watson; One brother Clifton Guinn. One sister Jamelia Bigby Coleman (Rico); Nine aunts: Deborah Bigby McIntyre (Walter), Sonia Bigby, Alisha Bigby, Mamie Johnson, Evelyn Morrison, Marilyn Morrison, Kim Thomasson (Ken), and Paula Ellis (Raymond). One uncle Tony Morrison; One nephew Cliftavis Guinn; one niece, Breahja Davis; One great niece Journi; Loving companion Brittany Peoples; Eight bonus children: Caileon, Jamaria, Zaria, Aria, Caria Peoples, Cynia, Ciera, and Antwan Moore; Special cousins who were raised together like brothers and sisters: Alana Kemp, Marcus Bigby, Talisha Kemp Williams, Matthew Bigby, Constance Young, Anthony Orr, Michaela Watkins, Emma and Amara Kamanda. And a host of cousins, family and friends.
