Graylon Lee Wallace

Graylon Lee Wallace was the son of Frances W. Diggs and the late William Wheeler. He was born March 22, 1959, in Charlotte North Carolina. He entered eternal rest on February 15, 2026, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Georgia. Graylon was raised by his grandparents, the late Everette and Macie Wallace. At an early age Graylon joined Rockwell AME Zion Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He later joined World Changers Church International in Atlanta, Georgia. Graylon was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system. He graduated from North Mecklenburg High School, class of 1977. Graylon “G Man” was known for being an extraordinary athlete in basketball, football, baseball, and track. He received scholarship for basketball at Saint Augustine University in Raliegh, North Carolina. He later attended Johnson C. Smith where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1982 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Graylon was employed by Transervice Logistics Inc., until his health declined. His dedication, consistency, and strong work ethics earned him the respect in admiration of his colleagues. Upon graduating from college Graylon worked various management positions within the Greater Charlotte area. Graylon was a lifelong Washington Commanders fan. Family was the center of Graylon’s life; his daughter Shunda was his pride and joy. He loved to ask how to do the latest line dances. Graylon was preceded in death by his two Aunts Eloise W Hicks and Elizabeth W. Torrence. Graylon leaves to cherish his memories his wife Tracy Wallace of Conyers, Georgia; one daughter Shunda Graham of Charlotte, North Carolina; one son Anthony Graham of Charlotte, North Carolina; one stepson Taylor Pompey of Conyers, Georgia; Mother Frances W. Diggs of Charlotte North Carolina; brothers Keith Diggs of Charlotte North Carolina, Bradford L. Diggs (Yolanda) of Mooresville, North Carolina; one sister Sharon Diggs of Charlotte, North Carolina; one Uncle Everette Wallace Jr. of Pamplico, South Carolina; one Aunt Virgina Arnold of Charlotte, North Carolina; three special cousins Jacqueline Franklin (Charlie), Reginald (Stickman) Hicks, Aqunietta (Neat) Baxter all of Charlotte, North Carolina; one Godson Tevin Woods of Charlotte, North Carolina; one Goddaughter Claire Manigault of Charleston, South Carolina; special friend Beverly Harris of Charlotte, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
