Bro. John Lee Randolph

A TIME TO BE BORN Brother John Lee Randolph, IV. was born to the parentage of the late Mr. John Lee Randolph, III. and Mrs. Elizabeth Randolph on August 8, 1948 in Charlottesville, Virginia. A TIME TO WORK John attended elementary school in the Richmond, Virginia Public School System. He graduated high school in Providence, Rhode Island. Upon completion of high school, John was drafted into the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War in the Air Defense Unit. After he was honorably discharged from the United States Army, John was intrigued with the open road, so he became a cross country truck driver. While working as a truck driver, John met the love of his life Thelma Sturdivant Melton. A TIME TO LOVE AND CHERISH “The one who finds a good wife has found something good. And he receives Jehovah’s favor.” (Proverbs 18:22) John and Thelma were joined in Holy Matrimony on July 20, 2001. Their love flourished and remained true and pure. John’s love for Thelma was evident in everything that he did because he always did things that would make her happy. That’s Love. A TIME TO EMBRACE John Randolph, IV. was loving, kind and a “Gentle Giant.” He loved his family and he showed that love by calling and visiting them whenever he could. He never failed to let his family members know that he loved them and that they were on his mind regularly. He especially did this with his sisters and brothers and his cousins. A TIME TO SERVE John became a true servant as he entered into service and dedicated his life to Jehovah. He became a member of The Jehovah Witness Congregation in Rock Hill, SC on October 13, 2018. John served faithfully until he fell asleep in death. GOOD NIGHT, I WILL SEE YOU IN THE MORNING! In the early evening hours of February 25, 2023, John said “I will see you in the new world, and he took his rest. John leaves to mourn the love of his life; a loving and devoted wife Thelma Randolph. His daughter LaToya Randolph. His sons Quincy Randolph of Jonesboro, GA, Marvin Melton and Kevin Melton of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Darin Melton (Tracey) of Hinesville, Georgia. Four Brothers; Nathan Randolph of Waverly, Virginia, Terry Randolph (Florita) of Riverside, CA, Guy Randolph (Schonta) of Grovetown, GA and Nathaniel Randolph (Florena) of San Diego, CA. One brother preceded him in death, Allen Randolph. Three Sisters; Katherine Davis of Poughkeepsie, NY, Bertha Bullock (Robert) of Henderson, NC, and Pamela Hawthorne of Flanders, NJ. Grandchildren; Marquise, Christian, Angela and Amanda. Great Grandchildren; Melanie, Myana, Jayln, Sanquise, Angel, Ariana, Romelo, and Tavaria; and one Great Grandchild. One Sister-in-Law Daisy Hardy (Larry; preceded in death) and One Brother-in-Law Welton Sturdivant (Barbara); Two Aunts, Mrs. Anna Neville-Abdellah , and Mrs. Thelma Smithson both of Richmond, VA. His very special friend (play brother) of 47 years Mr. Lovelace White of Taylorsville, UT; A Goddaughter; Alice Grier of Charlotte, NC. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends.
